Good morning! 🎃 It’s Halloween weekend, and there’s plenty to enjoy around Preston, Mystic, and nearby Westerly today. Here are a few ideas for Friday, October 30:
🍷 Wineries & 🍺 Breweries
- Preston Ridge Vineyard is open 1:00–8:00 p.m.; Maugle Sierra Vineyards is open 2:00–6:00 p.m.; and Stonington Vineyards is open 12:00–6:00 p.m. Jonathan Edwards Winery usually welcomes visitors until 5:00 p.m., but may close early for private events, so call ahead.
- Shunock River Brewery in North Stonington is open 3:00–9:00 p.m. and serves wood-fired pizza. Beer’d Brewing in Stonington and Groton is open 2:00–9:00 p.m.; the Groton location is 21+. Outer Light Brewing in Groton is open 11:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
- For a Halloween stop, Grey Sail Brewing’s Kegs & Eggs runs 5:00–8:00 p.m. in its Westerly b**r garden, with a playful egg hunt for adults and kids. The taproom is open 3:00–8:00 p.m.
🌽 Halloween & Fall Fun Tonight
- Preston Farms Corn Maze is open 2:00–9:30 p.m. The flashlight maze begins at 6:00 p.m. Bring a flashlight and enjoy live music, food trucks, and a bonfire. Admission is $13 for ages 10+, $7 for ages 4–9, and free for children 3 and under.
- Preston’s Trunk-or-Treat and Hayride is at Preston Veterans Memorial School from 6:30–8:00 p.m. It’s free; the event asks attendees to bring a bag of individually wrapped candy.
- Mystic Seaport’s Ghost Ship has its final performance tonight, 6:00–9:00 p.m. Timed tickets are recommended. The Ghost of Black Sam haunted trail at Mystic KOA runs 7:00–10:00 p.m.
- Pumpkin Passage at The Dinosaur Place in Montville offers glowing pumpkins and dinosaurs from 5:00–9:00 p.m.
🎶 Evening Music & Halloween Cocktails
- Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown has live music by the Steve Rondo Band at 8:00 p.m. The Charlestown Rathskeller has a Halloween party with live music from 8:00–11:00 p.m.
- Aquanett plays a 21+ Halloween party at Westerly’s Windjammer Surf Bar from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. For cocktails closer to home, Mohegan Sun’s Halloween-themed Spookeasy is open until midnight tonight.
