There’s a lot that goes into being a REALTOR® that never makes it into a “Just Sold” photo.

Education is a big part of that. Keeping up with rule changes, fraud, new technology and the challenges our clients face is an investment we owe the people who trust us.

Yesterday, I took the newly released core course for license renewal, covering important topics like AI, fraud and legal updates. I didn’t need it for my required continuing education credits, but I wanted to be in that room.

It’s the same reason I started taking continuing education classes before my license even required them. Learning matters to me. Getting better at what I do matters to me. And showing up for my clients the way I promise I will means putting in the work behind the scenes.

That continues outside the classroom, too. When a transaction brings up something unfamiliar, I ask questions, research and connect with the right professionals. I enjoy the challenge of finding answers and carrying that knowledge forward to help the next person facing a similar situation.

My clients don’t need me to pretend I know everything. They deserve someone who keeps learning, knows when to ask questions and follows through.

That’s the kind of agent I work to be every day.

Who deserves a little golden magic?

A friend, a neighbor, a family member. Someone whose kindness, laughter or presence makes your world a little brighter.

I’ve been dreaming up a fun way to bring our community together, and I’m excited to introduce Autumn Potter’s Golden Ticket Giveaway!

With the help of generous local businesses, we’re creating a season of surprises that celebrates both the people and the local favorites that make our community special.

Beginning November 5, you can nominate someone special to receive a numbered Golden Ticket in the mail. December prize drawings begin December 1!

A few details:
✨ Limited to the first 100 eligible households in York and Cumberland Counties, Maine.
✨ Each person may nominate one other person, with one ticket per household.
✨ Nominations close November 15, or sooner if all 100 spots are filled.
✨ No purchase required. A ticket offers a chance to win; prizes are not guaranteed. Winners redeem prizes directly with the donating business.

There’s a little magic for children, too! You can request a mailed Letter from Santa through December 1 using the separate form on the page.

Think of your person, save the date and find the details here:

An accepted offer worth celebrating! So happy for my buyer, who has a multifamily property under contract in Sanford.

I love being part of the buying side, too. Talking through the possibilities, putting an offer together, and getting that “they accepted!” call never gets old.

Now we’ve got some work to do before closing, and I’m excited to help bring this one home!

Thinking about buying a home or an investment property in Maine or New Hampshire? Let’s talk about what you have in mind.

Under contract in seven days. But the story behind this closing started long before the house hit the market.

My seller and I spent a lot of time working through what it would take to make her next chapter possible. That included exploring ways to divide the property so she could sell the home while keeping the land she wanted to hold onto. We also had to navigate the steps to turn her driveway into a private road. There were questions to research, options to work through, and a few moments that called for thinking beyond the obvious answer.

When it was time to list, we were intentional about pricing and presentation. We wanted 46 Bean Street to stand out against the competition and give buyers a reason to act.

Seven days later, we were under contract. Now, it’s officially sold.

I’m proud of the work that went into this one, and grateful my seller trusted me through the twists and turns. Getting to help someone turn “Can we make this happen?” into an actual next step is a pretty special part of this job.

Congratulations to my seller and the new owners of 46 Bean Street in Hollis!

A little more about the person behind the license.

I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. In fact, in high school I went through a phase where I loved making pinhole cameras!

There are so many little details in this world that are worth stopping to notice. Something the light hits just right, something unusual that catches my eye, or a moment that might not seem like much until years later when you’re grateful you have a picture of it.

I think that’s part of why I love it so much. I’m always looking for something beautiful, interesting, or different, and photography gives me a way to share what I see. And long after our memories fade and the people we love are gone, we still have the photos. That means a lot to me.

I don’t have nearly as much time for it these days, but I try to pick up my camera when I can. These are some of my favorite photos from a witch shoot I did here in Maine a few years ago, and Halloween seemed like the perfect day to share them.

What’s a hobby that brings you joy, even if you don’t get to do it as often as you’d like?

I’m nominated in the Real Estate Agent category, and I’d love your support.

If I’ve ever helped you, shown up for you, answered your questions, or earned your trust, I hope you’ll consider voting for me. You don’t have to have bought or sold a house with me to know how much heart and hard work I put into what I do.

Here’s how to vote:

1. Visit https://bestofthe207.com/vote/
2. Select Home & Garden → Real Estate Agent.
3. Choose Autumn Potter, Realtor.
4. Follow the prompts to submit your ballot. Don’t forget that last step!

You can vote once a day through November 11 at 5 p.m. Already voted? You can come back tomorrow!

Please share this post and help spread the word. Every vote, referral, and kind word helps this local business of mine grow, and I appreciate you being part of it.
