Familiar-looking deserves the same attention as unfamiliar.

Real estate transactions move quickly; and so do emails between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and title and escrow professionals. That activity can create opportunities for cybercriminals to blend into legitimate communications.

A familiar name, logo, or transaction detail doesn't necessarily mean a message should go unquestioned. An unusual sender address, unexpected request, or sudden sense of urgency is a reason to take a closer look.

Therefore always verify requests through a trusted communication method using previously confirmed contact information. For work-related communications, follow your organization's established security and reporting procedures.

Today we're shining a spotlight on Crystal Cunningham, Sales Rep | Business Development in Allen.
