“This corner now gives 41 households a safe, affordable place to call home, including three-bedroom apartments for larger families and fully accessible units, along with 12,000 square feet of space for new retail and a potential restaurant on Penn Avenue,” said Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato about the milestone completion of the Penn Lincoln development.
“Allegheny County Economic Development was part of this project from the very beginning, from acquiring the vacant hotel to investing more than $3.5 million in HOME and Affordable Housing Trust Fund dollars. Projects like this show what’s possible when we work together, and I’m grateful to ACTION-Housing, Hosanna House, and our government partners for their vision and persistence in bringing this landmark corner back to life.”
We'd like to extend our most sincere thanks to Allegheny County Economic Development and our elected officials for their support at Friday's Penn Lincoln ribbon-cutting including Lt. Governor Austin Davis, Congressman Chris Deluzio, State Senator Jay Costa, State Representative Abigail Salisbury, Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, and Mayor of Wilkinsburg Dontae Comans.
