This would be the best ad of the year, right? What other brands could do this so credibly?

Did some food delivery during the lunch rush today.

Had three deliveries in a row to the same (relatively small) public housing development - one from an expensive steakhouse.

Just got home to my market-rate one bedroom apartment in a crappy neighborhood to enjoy a hot pocket and water for lunch.

Is it helpful or becoming for me to complain about this situation? No.

Is it ultimately my responsibility to provide for myself & find a way to succeed in spite of all this? Yes.

But man, I’m tired of being part of the ~only group that doesn’t get ~anything from the “government money faucet”.

You want to know why inflation has been so bad?

It’s because the US government is subsidizing public housing recipient who are ordering ribeyes on Uber Eats.

Every unearned dollar they spend makes your wages smaller & your savings worth less.

Makes me wonder how to get in on the grift.

Not a great sign for our society when that’s seeming like a reasonable aspiration even to a guy like me.

This is kinda weird, right?Especially given the cultural suppression of German-Americans in the early 20th century.

It doesn’t have to be this way. But yes it usually is. I escaped an incredibly bleak life as a shut-in in my mom’s extra bedroom.

It’s been an insanely hard road but I have no regrets about the work I’ve had to do to live independently and find success at points along the way.

Guys. If this is you, find a way out. There are probably people rooting for you, and I promise you it’s worth it.

We’re meant for so much more than video games, w*** and p***. I promise.

Going to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. This is a difficult season that I will look back on with pride.
