Real estate school taught me the rules. My clients taught me what it really means to be a REALTOR.

A real estate license gives you the foundation to understand the business, but becoming a great real estate agent is an ongoing process.

The most meaningful part of working in real estate is getting to know the people behind each transaction. Every buyer and seller comes to the table with different goals, priorities, questions, and circumstances. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach my work as a real estate professional.

Over time, I've learned that providing great real estate guidance isn't simply about knowing the process. It's about being someone clients can rely on when they're making important decisions about their home, their finances, and their future.

Whether someone is buying a home, selling a home, or simply exploring their options, having an experienced real estate professional by your side can make the process feel more informed and intentional.

Because at the end of the day, real estate is about people as much as it is about property.

And that's one of the greatest lessons this career continues to teach me.

Multigenerational living is one of the fastest-growing trends in Scottsdale and Phoenix real estate right now, and it comes with more questions than almost anything else I get asked about. Most of those questions come with a free side of judgment too.

Here's what outsiders miss. For a lot of Arizona families, a multigenerational home setup is the smartest, warmest, most affordable move they've ever made. Shared living isn't a downgrade, it's a strategy. The chaos is real. So is the payoff.

I know because I've lived it. My own family made this work, and helping other Arizona families find and design multigenerational homes is what I do all day, every day.

The shared mortgage math. An ADU or casita in the backyard. A first floor primary bedroom for aging parents. The "where does everyone actually fit" floor plan puzzle. These are the exact things I walk families through when they're searching for multigenerational homes for sale in Scottsdale and Phoenix.

So when I tell you it can work, it's because I've watched it work, in my house and in theirs.

Got a question about making multigenerational living work for your family? Drop it below, I read every single one.

And if it's the money part you're stuck on, that's the question I get most. Comment "2026" and I'll send you the breakdown.

5 Moon Valley restaurants that are worth the drive and will make you hungry.

There is something about Moon Valley that just feels like home, and that includes the food. If you live in Moon Valley, Phoenix or you are just visiting the area, here are 5 restaurants near Moon Valley worth making the drive for:

1. Different Pointe of View — Perched at Tapatio Cliffs with sweeping Valley views, this is the spot when you want dinner to feel like an occasion.
2. Christo's — Cozy, old world Italian with the kind of warmth that makes you want to slow down and stay a while.
3. Culinary Dropout — Comfort food, good drinks, and a lively patio for when you want an easy night out with friends.
4. Doughbird — Rotisserie chicken and wood-fired pizza that feels like a home cooked meal without the dishes.
5. The Vig North Central — A chef-driven menu and a laid back tavern feel, perfect for happy hour after a long day.

And if you have room for dessert, stop by Mamma Toledo's for a slice of pie that tastes just like homemade.

This is what I love about living near Moon Valley. It is a community where good food and good neighbors are never far away, and it is exactly the kind of lifestyle I get to help my clients find every day.

Save this list for your next Moon Valley food run, and if you are thinking about calling this North Phoenix neighborhood home, send me a message. I would love to help you find a community as good as this food scene.

That door hasn't opened in three weeks. Nobody's noticed but the house.

Same with the dining room. The one that had to fit twelve, back when every holiday meant a full house.

Now it just sits there. A nice room. Empty.

So many Scottsdale and Phoenix homeowners say the same thing: the house isn't the problem, it's that they're rattling around in it.

That's usually the moment things start to shift.

Because once the kids are grown, the house doesn't have to be built around a family anymore. It can be built around the people actually living in it.

That might mean a single-level home so stairs stop being a daily negotiation. It might mean a 55+ community where the neighbors are also done mowing acreage. It might just mean four fewer rooms to clean.

Downsizing in Scottsdale doesn't mean giving something up. It means getting the house to match the life being lived now, not the one from ten years ago.

If that thought's been circling and "right sized" still feels undefined, that's the conversation worth having. Reach out.

ife isn’t always easy. Some days feel overwhelming, plans don’t always work out, and sometimes we’re simply doing our best to keep everything moving. But there will always be something worth looking forward to.

Lately, I’ve been reminding myself that life comes with its ups and downs. There are busy seasons, unexpected challenges, long days, and moments when things don’t go the way we hoped.

But there are also new beginnings, little wins, people who make us smile, opportunities we never saw coming, and quiet moments that remind us just how much we have to be grateful for.

We may not always know what the next chapter will bring, and we certainly can’t control everything along the way. What we can choose is how we move forward with a little more patience, gratitude, and hope.

So as I look toward the weeks ahead, I’m choosing to focus on what’s possible, appreciate how far I’ve come, and stay open to the good that’s still on its way.

Because even when life feels hard, there will always be another morning, another opportunity, another reason to smile, and something new to look forward to.

Whatever season you’re in right now, I hope you find a little something to look forward to, too.
