About ARC Pelham

At ARC Pelham, we believe real estate should feel more like home. More than homes, we focus on how life feels when you arrive — at a new front door, a fresh start, or a long-awaited next chapter. We don’t lead with numbers, production, or transactions. We lead with people, relationships, and the belief that small, intentional steps — done consistently — truly change lives. Our culture is built on trust, transparency, and showing up when no one is watching. It looks like meals dropped off during hard seasons, kids watched so someone could make an appointment, paint brushes were picked up without being asked, sleeves were rolled up, and hands were ready to help. We support one another fully — through wins, losses, growth, and learning — and we bring that same care to every client we serve. We believe success doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful. Faith quietly informs how we show up. Authenticity isn’t hidden here — it’s welcomed. Front-porch conversations, knowing people by name, serving neighbors (not just clients), and building trust that lasts longer than a transaction are the foundation of everything we do. The more time you spend with us, the more convinced we become that relationships beat transactions every time. One family helped lead to another. Small hinges really do swing big doors. We believe our community deserved something different — so we built it. Welcome home to ARC Pelham.

“We’d like to move… but is anyone even buying right now?” 🏡

It’s a fair question when the headlines keep saying home sales have slowed.

But people still get new jobs, need more room, or decide it’s time to live closer to family. Those reasons to move don’t disappear because the market slows down.

What does that mean if you’re thinking about selling?

Your house may take longer to sell. Buyers may compare more homes before choosing. And the price and condition of your home matter when they decide what's worth their money.

Think about how you shop: when you have several choices, you look closely at what each offers for the price. Homebuyers do the same.

At ARC, we can help you look at what’s selling nearby, what buyers are passing over, and what that could mean for your plans.

What’s your biggest question about making a move right now?

If you’ve seen headlines saying home sales are slowing down, you may be wondering: is this really a good time to sell?

CENTRAL ALABAMA COFFEE PEOPLE—WE NEED ANSWERS. ☕️

National Coffee Day is September 29, and today’s assignment is simple:

Skip the usual drive-through and try a local coffee shop!

A few Shelby and Jefferson County stops to consider:

☕ Bullet Coffee—Pelham
☕ Santos Coffee—Hoover at Brock’s Gap
☕ East 59 Café—Lee Branch
☕ Baba Java—Hoover and Meadowbrook
☕ Seeds Coffee—West Homewood
☕ June Coffee—Downtown Birmingham
☕ Cala Coffee—Cahaba Heights and Downtown Birmingham
☕ Leader’s Corner—Columbiana

Grab a cup. Meet a friend. Have the conversation you’ve been meaning to have.

Because coffee shops are more than places to buy coffee. They’re where friendships grow, ideas begin, local business happens, and neighbors connect.

Now tell us your exact coffee order—and where we should go get it! ☕️👇

GOOD NEIGHBOR CHALLENGE: ACCEPTED? 🏡

National Good Neighbor Day is September 28, and being a good neighbor does not have to be complicated.

You could:

👋 Introduce yourself to someone new
🗑️ Roll a neighbor’s trash can back from the street
🍪 Drop off cookies or a loaf of bread
🌿 Help with a small yard project
🐕 Keep an eye out for a missing pet
📦 Pick up a package from someone’s porch
☕ Invite a neighbor over for coffee
❤️ Check on someone who lives alone

Neighborhoods are not great because every lawn is perfect.

They’re great because people wave, look out for one another, share recommendations, celebrate the good days and show up during the difficult ones.

Real estate can help you find a house.

Good neighbors are what help turn it into home.

Give a neighbor a shout-out in the comments—but don’t embarrass them too much. 😊

TODAY IS FOR THE DAUGHTERS. 💗

The little girls.

The grown daughters.

The bonus daughters.

The daughters who live nearby and the ones we wish lived closer.

National Daughters Day is September 25, and you don’t need an elaborate plan to make her feel special.

☕ Meet for coffee at a local café
🛍️ Browse the shops in Homewood, Downtown Birmingham or Old Town Helena
🌺 Walk through the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
🍽️ Take her to her favorite local restaurant
📸 Recreate an old photograph together
📱 Or simply call and say, “I’m proud of you.”

Homes hold so many seasons of our daughters’ lives—from first steps and school dances to packed boxes, new beginnings and visits back home.

Today, celebrate the girl who made your family story even sweeter.

Tell us something you love or admire about your daughter. 💕

ALABAMA FALL HAS ENTERED THE CHAT. 🍂

The calendar says September 22.

The temperature may still say July. 😂

But we’re claiming fall anyway.

Here’s your Central Alabama fall starter list:

🍂 Walk or bike the trails at Oak Mountain State Park
🍂 Visit Orr Park and see the famous Tinglewood carvings
🍂 Spend an afternoon in Old Town Helena
🍂 Walk Railroad Park in Birmingham
🍂 Explore Red Mountain Park
🍂 Visit a farmers market or pumpkin patch
🍂 Add mums and pumpkins to the front porch
🍂 Make the first pot of chili—even if the air conditioner is running

Fall is also a great time to look at your home with fresh eyes.

Could the front porch use a little color? Are the gutters ready for falling leaves? Is there a room you want to make cozier before the holidays?

Tell us: What officially makes it feel like fall at your house?

Football? Chili? Pumpkins? Cooler mornings? Or decorating the porch?

LET’S SETTLE THIS, CENTRAL ALABAMA. 🥑

Smooth guacamole or chunky?

Cilantro or absolutely NO cilantro?

Mild enough for everyone—or bring the heat?

National Guacamole Day is September 16, and this is your excuse to skip cooking and support a local restaurant.

A few places to begin your guacamole research:

🌮 Taco Mama—several Birmingham-area locations
🌮 El Barrio—Downtown Birmingham or West Homewood
🌮 Your favorite locally owned Mexican restaurant in Helena, Pelham, Alabaster, Calera, Hoover, Vestavia, Homewood or Birmingham

Or make it at home:

🥑 Ripe avocados
🍋 Fresh lime juice
🧅 Diced onion
🍅 Tomato
🌿 Cilantro
🧂 Salt
🌶️ Jalapeño if you’re brave

Here is the real question:

WHO makes the best guacamole in Shelby or Jefferson County?

Name the restaurant and the city. Let’s build a local guacamole guide in the comments! 👇

GRANDPARENTS: THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL NOTICE. ❤️

The grandkids do not need another toy.

They need your stories. Your hugs. Your recipes. Your laugh. And yes…probably a little money slipped into their hand when their parents aren’t looking. 😉

National Grandparents Day is Sunday, September 13, and Central Alabama gives us plenty of ways to make memories together:

🚂 Ride the train at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera
🌳 Take a walk through Orr Park in Montevallo
🇺🇸 Explore American Village
🌺 Visit the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
🔭 See Birmingham from the top of Vulcan
🍦 Keep it simple with ice cream and a front-porch visit

Some of the most important things passed from one generation to another will never appear in a will.

They’re the stories, traditions, and memories that make a family feel rooted.

Tag a grandparent, bonus grandparent, or special person who helped make you who you are today. ❤️
