Once a stone quarry, providing employment to dozens of families for decades, great care has been taken to preserve the legacy of Haynes Quarry. Each building will showcase natural stone from the quarry serving as a constant reminder that from the earth the evolution of Quarry Walk began. Conveniently located on Route 67, a commuter corridor between I‐84 in Southbury and Route 8 in Seymour, Quarry Walk will serve as a “downtown” and be developed with village atmosphere serving the community as a destination for retail shopping, dining, recreation and residential.

Congratulations to Designworks by JTP Construction, LLC on opening their new showroom at Quarry Walk!

From homeowners planning a renovation to contractors and DIY enthusiasts, the showroom offers materials, expert guidance, and inspiration for your next project.

The Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Haynes team, local dignitaries, and neighbors came together to celebrate with food from Char & Lemon and live music on the green afterward.

Bill Purcell of the Greater Valley Chamber called it one of the “best and biggest” grand openings, adding, “I wish you many more.”

There’s plenty happening every week at Quarry Walk

This week, we saw:

🥬 Fermenting Foods workshop
Griffin Center for Healthy Living held a free cooking demonstration exploring the benefits of fermentation. More classes will be available soon.

🧶 Intro to Knitting
At In The Dustlight. Another beginner-friendly class for ages 16 and older will be held on November 23.

And coming up tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, BOSOMii brings its Breast Cancer Awareness Scavenger Hunt to Quarry Walk from 2–5 p.m.

Stop by Quarry Walk near Market 32 on Saturday, November 7, from 10 AM–1 PM to donate food benefiting the Seymour Oxford Food Bank.

Donations needed:
🥫 Canned food, soup, pasta, sauce, and rice
🥜 Peanut butter and jelly
🥣 Dry cereals and oatmeal
🦃 Frozen turkeys, gravy, and stuffing

Hosted by the Oxford Democratic Town Committee, this food drive is an opportunity to help our neighbors as the holiday season approaches.
