I told a seller the truth about their price… and lost the listing. 🏠

Stop asking for a price reduction. Ask for seller credits instead.

If you're financing your home, a $20K price cut only really pays off if you keep the loan for its entire life.

Ask for that same $20K as seller credits and you can use it to buy down your rate with discount points. You see the savings right away, at the closing table, and over the life of the loan they can add up to more than the $20K.

Most people refinance or sell within 5 to 10 years, so getting the benefit up front is the smart move 9 times out of 10.
