Meet Katie — Co-Founder, Culture Creator & Citrus Spooky Girl 👻
Born in Buffalo and raised in Central Florida, with a five-year side quest in Denver, Colorado, Katie is a University of Central Florida Master’s grad. She went from serving authentic Mexican cuisine at CityWalk and working job fairs in the Human Resources department at Universal Studios to entering the title world in 2016 as a receptionist, moonlighting in the accounting and builder departments along the way, before eventually co-founding Citrus Closing Group in 2022.
At Citrus, Katie brings the people, culture, creativity, and big-picture ideas together — helping shape not just how Citrus operates, but how it feels to work here and do business with us. When she’s not dreaming up the next Citrus idea, solving problems no one knew existed yet, designing the lemon-themed offices you know and love 🍋, or planning an event, Katie is usually at a concert, comedy club, or live performance.
In her free time, you can also find her in the DJ booth requesting “Danza Kuduro,” drinking around the world at EPCOT, or counting down the days until Halloween Horror Nights or her next trip to Salem. 🔮
Katie shares her love of all things creepy with her two daughters, Savannah, Winter, and goth queen stepdaughter Olivia. Savannah is an October baby who was basically born for spooky season, while Winter is always ready to curl up and watch It with Mom. 🎃🔪
