Because two people can be buying or selling in the exact same market and need completely different things from the experience.

One might need flexibility. Another might have a firm deadline. One might be ready to move tomorrow, while another is still figuring out whether now is the right time.

That’s why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to real estate. The plan should fit the person, not the other way around. 🤍

Five things I hate about being an Omaha real estate agent (okay, “hate” is a strong word 😅)

Seeing homes before they hit the market, because now I know exactly what I’m missing. Touring gorgeous houses, because I leave every showing wanting to redo my own. Knowing all the hidden gem neighborhoods, because I’ve mentally moved to at least six of them. Knowing every good coffee shop and restaurant in Omaha, because my clients ask and somehow I’ve tried them all. And handing over the keys, because now I want to move too.

If I were buying 9478 Wirt St — this is exactly what I’d be picturing. 🏡

The living room where new traditions start without anyone planning them. The kitchen where I finally make good on every recipe I saved. The bedroom that actually feels like rest. The backyard where the kids make the memories they’ll talk about when they’re grown.

Experience in real estate changes what you’re impressed by.

Early on it’s easy to think success looks like closing deals every single week or having content go viral. After years of doing this in Omaha, I care a lot more about the things that don’t photograph well.

Knowing when to slow a client down before they make an expensive decision. Catching the detail that changes the entire negotiation. Having the right person to call when something unexpected shows up three days before closing.

The longer I do this, the less interested I am in the flashy stats and the more I care about being genuinely useful in the moments that actually matter.

Because most clients will never remember how busy I was that year.

They’ll remember whether I made a stressful decision feel clearer. Whether I told them the truth when it would have been easier not to. Whether I knew what to do when the plan changed.

That’s the version of experience I care about now. And the one I’m still working to earn every single transaction. 🖤
