According to Bright MLS, the most expensive home to sell in the Montgomery County, MD-Washington, DC area was 4432 Chestnut Lane, NW in Washington, in Phillips Park.

Unfortunately I wasn't involved in the sale.

From a celebrity real estate perspective, even though it is Thursday, The sellers were the Khannas: Congressman Ro Khanna is rumored to be strongly considering running for U.S. President in the 2028 election.

Anyhow, the house, which was built in 2020, was listed as having 6 bedrooms.6 full baths. and 2 half baths. It sold for $6,250,000.

A home on Malibu Road that has hosted celebrities like Barry Manilow and P!nk sold for $14 million.

According to Bright MLS, the most expensive home to sell in the Montgomery County, MD - Washington DC area during July of 2026 was 2941 Massachusetts Ave, NW located in the Massachusetts Avenue Heights area of Washington, DC., along Embassy Row.
The property sold for $7.9 million. So, it is really unfortunate that I wasn't involved in the transaction

Just as a reminder, I can be referred to MD home sellers and buyers in MD & DC.

Anyhow, according to the tax records, this 8-bedroom home with over 11000 square feet of living space, was sold by the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia.

The home was originally constructed in 1919.

Interesting fact: the home is zoned as a 'Diplomatic Overlay', which means that the property is a designated area, with additional zoning and/or planning rules to accommodate and protect diplomatic facilities such as embassies.
