More homes. More choices.

The August 2026 market numbers are in, and they tell an interesting story about where the OKC Metro is heading.
Inventory across the metro is up 30.5%, giving buyers significantly more homes to consider than they had this time last year. But more inventory doesnโt mean buyers have stopped buying.
And when we look closer at individual markets, thereโs even more happening.
In OKC, inventory jumped 38.3%, while prices remained resilient. Edmond saw inventory rise 29.6% alongside a 20.3% increase in pending sales, and in Yukon, inventory climbed 34.7% while pending sales increased 17.9%.

For buyers, more inventory means more choice. You may have more opportunities to compare homes, consider your options, and find a property that truly fits your needs instead of feeling like you have to jump at the first possibility.
For sellers, more homes on the market means more competition for buyer attention. Pricing, preparation, presentation, and marketing matter when your home is one of many a buyer may be considering.
And perhaps the biggest takeaway? More inventory does not mean the market has stopped moving. Buyers are still making decisions, contracts are still being written, and opportunities exist on both sides of the transaction.
