2019 TMC Financing Trolley Tour
Every year TMC employees and board members hop on a trolley and visit some of our local clients. At TMC, we process about 250 loans a year. With each deal, staff is inundated with numbers, memos, correspondence with bankers, submissions, and closing docs. This is the day we get to see the results of our hard work.
Our 2019 Trolley Tour was our 14th tour and our 4th tour in Oakland. We visited two amazing clients with wonderful stories in the industrial part of East Oakland.

TMC Financing visits Oakland clients by Trolley
Every year, TMC employees hop on a trolley and visit some of our local clients. At TMC, we process about 250 loans a year. With each deal, staff is inundated with numbers, memos, correspondence with bankers, submissions, and closing docs.
It is a privilege to be able to help each and every business we work with – however oftentimes we don’t get to see the fruits of our labor. This is why the trolley tour is our favorite day of the year!
This year, we were able to visit three amazing, unique Oakland clients. Our first stop was with Patrick Feely at Art Tile, who was able to purchase a building AND start a new vertical to his business by utilizing SBA Loan Programs.
We then visited Paul and Sandi at Rockridge Montessori School who were able to purchase the building they grew up in to continue operating the school that their parents started, thanks to the 504 Program.
Finally, our last stop, we met with Emil at Kingfish Pub. Emil is a co-owner of the pub and utilized the 504 Program to save his favorite bar. Emil financed the land purchase, renovation costs, AND the costs associated with physically picking up the landmark building and relocating it across the street.

Art Tile Fuels Growth with SBA Loan Programs
TMC worked with Patrick Feely, Owner of Art Tile, on two different occasions. First, we helped him purchase a property in Oakland and later, helped him start a new vertical to his business. Both projects were possible thanks to SBA Loan Programs, designed specifically to help small businesses grow and thrive.
“A small business needs to own their building. Thankfully, with the way the SBA loan is structured and with the great service that TMC offers we were able to accomplish that.” -Patrick Feely
