Italy in 3 hours?🤔💭
Three hours in Italy can take you from the Alps to the sea, with a completely different landscape along the way.

And that can make a real difference when choosing where to call home.

Where would you drive first?

The Salem of Italy?🎃

Welcome to Triora, hidden in the mountains of western Liguria. Between 1587 and 1589, this medieval village became the setting of documented witch trials, when several women were accused of witchcraft. The events left a dark mark on its history, giving rise to legends and folklore that are still part of its identity today.

Every Halloween, Triora brings its mysterious past back to life with celebrations in its medieval streets.

Would you dare to spend Halloween here?

Feels like home✨
A house can be beautiful, but feeling at home is what really matters.

For this family, finding the right property in Italy meant finding a place to bring people together and becoming part of the community around them.

We’re happy we could help make that journey a little easier.

Visiting Todi😍
On our way to visit a client we stopped in Todi, a beautiful medieval hilltop town in Umbria.

The client’s new home, a historic property with panoramic views and plenty of privacy is the embodiment of the Italian dream.

Just 10 minutes from the medieval town center, it offers countryside privacy, 360-degree views, and easy access to restaurants, everyday conveniences, and other beautiful towns in central Italy.

Would you consider a home in the Umbrian countryside?

Sad to see summer go?🏖️

If you’re thinking about buying a home in Italy, the end of summer might actually be a good time to start looking.

With the summer tourist season winding down, there may be less competition from other buyers. That can give you more time to compare properties and make a considered decision rather than feeling pressured to move quickly.

Some sellers may also be more open to negotiation at this point in the year, particularly if they have personal, financial, or tax-planning reasons for wanting to complete a sale before the end of the year. Of course, this depends on the individual seller and property.

Another reason to keep an eye on the market is that some owners choose to list their properties after the summer, meaning new options can appear as autumn begins.

There’s also a practical advantage to visiting at this time of year. Once the summer crowds have gone, you can get a better sense of what everyday life in the area is actually like. And visiting a property outside the warmer months can help you notice things such as heating, humidity, natural light, noise, and the overall condition of the home.

So if buying in Italy is on your plans, September could be a good time to start exploring your options.

What if you could get answers to all your questions about Italy?

Over the years, we’ve received thousands of questions from people thinking about buying a home, moving to Italy, or simply trying to understand how things work here.

We’ve tried to answer as many as we can through our guides, videos, articles, and FAQs. But sometimes, you just want to ask your question directly and get an answer from someone who knows the process.

That’s why we’re working on something new: a free monthly live Q&A where you’ll be able to ask us anything about buying property, relocating, taxes, renovations, or everyday life in Italy.

We’re still putting everything together, and we want to make these sessions as useful as possible for you.

So let’s start here: if you had one hour to ask us anything about Italy, what would your first question be?

Let us know in the comments.

Tuscany charm at a third of the price?🤔

We’re in Pisticci, Basilicata, where average asking prices are around €1,100 per square meter — roughly one third of what buyers may find in Pienza.

The difference isn’t about the landscape or the history. It comes down to things like infrastructure, accessibility and the level of international demand.

And Basilicata is only part of the story. Southern Italy is full of smaller towns and lesser-known areas worth exploring.

What’s your favorite place in Southern Italy? Let us know in the comments.
