When our team at Lafeuille needed extra hands, maintenance team members from across PLK stepped up and knocked out 49 maintenance requests in one day! 👏

That’s what teamwork looks like: showing up for each other and taking care of our residents together.

As we prepare to unveil our new corporate website, we’re continuing to shine a spotlight on the leaders whose experience, dedication and expertise help support the growth of PLK Communities.

Meet Paula Dent, our Vice President of Operations.

Since joining PLK in March 2021, Paula has focused on strengthening property performance, developing on-site teams and finding opportunities to improve both the resident experience and financial results. She oversees daily operations across our growing portfolio of apartment communities, helping our teams navigate challenges and build on their successes.

Paula began her multifamily career in Virginia Beach with Great Atlantic Property Management before returning home and continuing her career with National Realty Management, HILLS Properties and Ackermann Group. Along the way, she has built a reputation as a thoughtful, people-focused leader who understands that strong communities start with strong teams.

Her commitment to developing people also extends throughout the multifamily industry. Paula serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Dayton Apartment Association and is active on its Professional Development and Awards Committees, supporting opportunities for others to learn, grow and be recognized for their work.

Outside of PLK, Paula enjoys cooking, hosting gatherings and spending time with the people she loves most.

As PLK continues to grow and evolve, Paula brings a steady focus on our people, our communities and the work that helps them succeed.

Looking back at our ELEVATE Summit with our partners at UNION! 🎥💙

About a month ago, our PLK teams came together in Cincinnati for a full day of training, learning, and sharing ideas. Careena Daly and the UNION team joined our partner panel and led a training session, giving our teams a chance to ask questions and learn directly from the people behind the tools we use.

We introduced UNION as our CRM platform this year, so that time together was especially valuable. And we already had some exciting results to celebrate!

In August alone, “Ruby,” our name for UNION Voice AI, delivered:
📞 3,362 calls answered ✅ 2,297 missed office calls caught ⏱️ 54 hours of phone time handled 🏡 241 tours booked

That’s extra support for our teams during busy days and more opportunities to connect with people looking for their next home.

A big thank you to Careena and the UNION team for spending the day with us, sharing your knowledge, and helping our teams get the most out of the platform. We appreciate your partnership—and love getting to revisit ELEVATE through this video!

Our Ohio and Northern Kentucky teams came together for our annual Fall Fun Day, complete with our co****le tournament, plenty of laughs, and time to catch up outside the workday.
