The Reuben Foundation’s partnership with the Courtauld brings together two collections in a major display exploring modern painting in the first half of the 20th century.
Modern Painting from the Courtauld and Reuben Collections presents works by Cézanne, Modigliani and Léger alongside significant paintings from the Reuben Collection by Man Ray, Pablo Picasso and René Magritte.
Among the highlights are Man Ray’s monumental Black Widow, exhibited in the UK for the first time in more than 50 years, Picasso’s Portrait of a Woman (Marie Thérèse in a Blue Beret) and works from the Reuben Collection’s significant holdings of René Magritte.
Launched in 2025, the Reuben Foundation’s long term partnership with the Courtauld enables works from the Reuben Brothers Group’s Collection to be made accessible to the public as part of the Gallery’s displays.
Now on view at The Courtauld Gallery, London.
