Classic Colonial. Connected Needham living.

57 Douglas Road sits along a tree-lined street with the kind of neighborly rhythm that’s easy to appreciate—front-yard hellos, conversations that continue down the block and a genuine feeling of connection.

Hersey commuter rail, Needham Golf Club and Broadmeadow School are all less than a mile away.

This expanded five-bedroom Colonial pairs classic character with more than 4,300 square feet, a vaulted family room, private primary suite, custom w**e cellar and a backyard made for summer dinners and fall nights around the firepit.

There’s a lot to look forward to at 57 Douglas Road. Coming home from the commuter rail and heading straight out back to enjoy the evening, dinner in town followed by friends joining you around the firepit, or grabbing a bottle from the w**e cellar when the night calls for one more.

With 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths and more than 4,300 square feet, there’s plenty to explore inside, too.

Some homes sell in a weekend. Others take time to find the person who sees exactly what makes them special.

75 Washington Street was one of those homes.

Over the course of this listing, there were many showings, open houses, conversations, questions answered and countless opportunities to tell the story of this remarkable Sherborn property. And through it all, we kept going—because a home with 25 acres, its own pond, and private trails, was never going to be the right home for every buyer.

So we kept at it until the right buyers came along. We recalibrated pricing, responded to shifts in the market, refreshed our marketing, and continually found new ways to reach the buyers who would value this particular property. Now, the reins are being handed over to a wonderful family who will make the big yellow house on the pond their own, and I couldn’t be happier for them—or for my sellers as they begin their next chapter.

Not every successful sale happens in a week or a month. Sometimes the job is to keep showing up, keep creating opportunities and trust that the right buyer is out there.

Wishing both families the very best in what comes next.
