Commercial flights come back to Naples Airport on December 2.
Gulfshore Business reports American Airlines will fly twice-daily nonstops between Naples Airport and Charlotte starting Dec. 2, on CRJ-700 regional jets, with connections to more than 180 cities through American's network. Flights use the renovated North Road Terminal, with a 75-seat waiting area, a service counter, baggage claim and TSA screening. The Naples Airport Authority approved the agreement on Oct. 15, and the airline agreed to the airport's voluntary 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew.
American last served Naples in 2001, and the airport's last commercial flight was in 2017.
