Here's a little trick I tell every buyer before we walk into a showing: tour the house, not the staging.
The furniture isn't staying, but the windows, the water pressure, the closet space, and the way the street sounds at 5 PM sure are. So open the cabinets, run a faucet, flip a few light switches, and peek in the basement — the pretty stuff is easy to fall for, but the everyday stuff is what you'll actually live with.
A good showing isn't about falling in love in ten minutes. It's about leaving knowing what questions to ask next. Want me to walk a place with you and point out what I'd be looking at?
