SOLD! But this one wasn't easy.

It started months earlier with a whole lot of work.

Cleaning out years of stuff.
Repairs.
Fresh paint.
New carpet.
Updating the kitchen.
Changing fixtures.
Getting rid of things that distracted from the house.
And LOTS of conversations that started with, "Trust me on this..." 😂

Then came one of my favorite parts: staging.

I wanted buyers to walk into this house and immediately picture themselves living here. Not just see 3,200+ square feet and a list of features.

So we staged it, brought in professional photography & videography and made sure it showed beautifully.

Then I marketed the heck out of it.

And I don't mean putting it in the MLS, posting it on Facebook once, and waiting.

When something wasn't getting the response I wanted, I changed it.

I changed photos.
I rewrote the marketing.
I changed the way we talked about the house.
I marketed directly to agents.
I reached out to agents whose clients matched the property.
I promoted open houses.
I marketed the lifestyle of Mt. Isle Harbor and Mountain Island Lake, not just the house.

And eventually...

MULTIPLE OFFERS. 🙌

And now 2832 Shady Reach Lane is officially SOLD.

Here's the thing I want homeowners to know:

Selling a house isn't always as simple as putting a sign in the yard and waiting for someone to buy it.

Looks like this Historic building is being transformed in to Luxury apartments in Uptown Charlotte!

It's mostly vacant now- and they got a DEAL on it- due to foreclosure. But, will now feature 600 apartments with a rooftop amenity space, a hotel and new retail stores in what would become the city’s largest office-to-residential conversion ever.

Sounds cool and all, but I prefer to be a little further out from the city.

I don't think I could handle living in Uptown at this point in my life.

In fact, I think I'd like to move even further out than where I am now...maybe a little acreage...with no neighbors close by???
