Did you receive your Property Tax Bill in the mail?
If you have a mortgage with an escrow account, you typically don’t need to pay this bill separately.
An escrow account is where your mortgage company sets aside a portion of your monthly payment to cover property taxes and, in most cases, homeowners insurance.
It’s normal to receive this bill in the mail. It doesn’t necessarily mean you need to pay it yourself.
If you receive another notice, especially a past-due notice, contact your mortgage company to make sure everything is taken care of.
For now, if you have escrow, there’s usually no reason to worry, but it’s always a good idea to confirm that your payment is scheduled.
