The sale of my family home has closed. I was able to sell our home directly while representing the buyers who I happened to meet during the Estate Sale we had in June.
Initially in July the buyers were not ready to buy, and they decided to pass at that time, so we moved forward with the planned improvements on the inside that we wanted to make prior to selling.
In the end it all came together. Following the initial Open House in August these buyers came back and we were under contract in less than a week. The buyers situation had changed. The best part of all they are now near their family, and my siblings and I can be happy that new owners are ready to create new memories and make it their own.
Getting a house ready to sell that has been occupied for over 50 years is daunting and a ton of work, but in the end can feel freeing and rewarding.
