MARKETS WE OPERATE IN

Fort Lauderdale is a thriving metropolis that is growing and expanding exponentially. This urban city boasts a large international airport, cosmopolitan stores, arrays of restaurants, and several world class beaches. New developments have led to it becoming a center for arts and culture. Thousands of young professionals and couples are moving to Fort Lauderdale each month to grow their lives here. One of the most salient developments is the imminent arrival of the Brightline Express Train, a state-of- the-art rail system, which, will offer frequent express rides between Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. Both Flagler Village and Victoria Park have gone through a recent resurgence and are now rapidly becoming Fort Lauderdale’s trendiest spots. Developers, artists and residents have transformed the neighborhoods in to the budding and popular places they are today. These neighborhoods have become the ideal places to work, live and play. They are home to numerous new rental buildings and within minutes you can get to the beach, the airport, and the I-95. The Flagler Arts and Technology District and Music & Arts South of Sunrise is where artists, advertising agencies and web developers can be found. Pocket parks and urban gardens are “sprouting” throughout the neighborhoods as the fabric of the communities continue to develop and grow.

Behind every project is a team of people bringing their own perspective, experience, and creativity to the work! 👏

This month, we want to highlight our team their experience working with us, what they enjoy most about being part of Moderno, and their favorite projects we’ve worked on together so far.

Next up, Hayden Carson Hayden Carson

“Working for Moderno as a Project Manager has given me the opportunity to be involved in all different stages of our projects, from coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to helping move projects from planning into construction. What I enjoy most is being able to see a project come together from the ground up and working with the different teams involved to solve problems and keep everything moving forward. Every project brings something new, and there is always an opportunity to learn and take on something different.

Favorite Moderno Project :
“ One of the projects I’ve enjoyed working on most is the retail buildout at RIVR Lofts. Having the opportunity to work on the building after its completion and now help bring new projects and spaces to life has been a great experience. I’m especially excited for what’s ahead with ArtHaus and the other projects Moderno has coming up. There is a lot in the works, and I’m looking forward to seeing everything come together.” 🏙️ 🎨

Next up, Naiza Vaida NAIZA

“Working with Moderno as Administrative Director and Accountant has been such a rewarding chapter. I get to work across operations, bookkeeping, property management, and the financial side of everything we build and manage.

People sometimes think accounting is the quiet, boring part of the business, but I see it differently. Behind every project, there’s someone making sure everything adds up, and I love being that person. Each month-end brings its own puzzle, and there’s real satisfaction in making sure every number aligns and every account tells the right story.”

Favorite Moderno Project :

“The project closest to my heart is River Lofts. Handling its accounting and accounts receivable over the past two years has taught me so much, and I’ve had the chance to do it alongside an incredible team. I’m proud of what we’ve built so far and excited for what’s still ahead. “ 🏙️ Rivr Lofts

“What I enjoy most about being a Partner and Director of Real Estate Development at Moderno is being involved in the full process and watching a project go from an idea on paper to something real. Every project comes with its own challenges, and I genuinely enjoy working through them with the team and finding the best way forward. There’s a lot happening at Moderno right now, and I’m proud of what we’ve built so far and very excited about what we have coming next.”

Favorite Moderno Project :
“ 637 Art Lofts is probably my favorite project. It was the first multifamily project I completed, and because of that, it will always feel like home and remain a project I’m especially proud of. “ 🎨
