🎙️ NEW EPISODE OF CURBY POD IS LIVE! | PART 1 OF 2

What does it take to build a dance company in Miami when there was barely a dance scene to begin with? 🩰

This week, I sit down with Hannah Baumgarten and Diego Salterini, the founders of Dance Now Miami, for the first of a two-part conversation about their nearly 30-year journey of turning a passion for dance into a lasting part of Miami's cultural scene.

From taking big risks to building something that inspires generations, this conversation is about much more than dance. It's about passion, perseverance, and creating a legacy.

This is what we work so hard for. ❤️

We spend so much of our lives working, building businesses, and chasing goals. But at the end of the day, it's moments like these that remind me what it's all about.

This weekend, I got to watch my daughter Alex take on the 2026 Chicago Marathon, alongside thousands of runners from around the world. 🏃‍♀️

Seeing her determination, discipline, and dedication makes me one proud dad.

I've spent over 30 years building homes, but nothing compares to watching my own kids build their dreams and accomplish something they set their minds to.

Success isn't just about what we build or achieve. It's about having the time to be there for the people we love.

So proud of you, Alex! ❤️

A year of studying, sacrifice, work, family, and wondering if it would all pay off.

Then you flip over one piece of paper and see one word:

PASSED.*🙌

Clemencia’s reaction says everything. An 80 on the exam, a few tears on the spot, and the beginning of a completely new chapter.

Some moments are worth all the sacrifice it took to get there.

Some of the best partnerships aren’t built on contracts. They’re built on trust.

One thing I’ve always respected about Clemencia is her transparency. No games, no hidden markups. Just doing what’s right for the client and creating something great together.

More than a decade later, that says a lot about why we still work together today.

Sometimes the next chapter starts by falling in love with the process. 🏡

After years of designing the interiors of our homes, Clemencia saw firsthand how an empty piece of land becomes something a family can call home.

Somewhere along the way, she didn’t just fall in love with design. She fell in love with building.

Now she’s taking everything she’s learned into her next chapter as a contractor. 👷‍♀️

🎙️ EPISODE 4 OF CURBY POD IS NOW LIVE!

For more than a decade, Clemencia Dumas has been the interior designer behind Curby Corp Homes, helping turn our builds into homes people fall in love with.

But this year, she decided to take on a completely new challenge: becoming a licensed contractor herself. 👷‍♀️🏡

We talked about the year she spent studying for Florida’s contractor exam while working and raising a family, the sacrifices behind the scenes, the moment she finally saw her results, and what comes next as she steps from designing homes into building them.

And after working together for all these years, I may have shared a story or two about what makes Clemencia a little different from most designers. 😄

When Brad Pitt questions your 30+ years of building luxury homes in Miami... 😂

Oye Brad, suave papi! We can talk about the house over a cafecito. ☕️

I'll even throw in the pickleball court. On me! 🤝

The details outside the home matter just as much as the ones inside. 🏡

Before we introduce something new into a Curby home, I want to know it actually works. I want to see it, use it, test it, and make sure it can handle the South Florida lifestyle.
We’re always looking for new materials, technology, and ideas that can make our homes better.

If it passes the test, then we build with it.

Because cutting-edge is only worth it if it actually works.

When the President finds out who’s building South Florida luxury homes. 👌😂

“Robert? Yeah... I hear he builds a tremendous house.”

30+ years building in Miami. Apparently, word gets around. 😂

Everybody wants to hear about the big leagues and the big checks. I want to hear about the grind. ⚾

The bad food. The bunk beds. The long days. The uncertainty. And what players were doing behind the scenes to prepare for the day baseball eventually ended.

One of my favorite stories is about a player getting made fun of for watching the stock market while everyone else wanted the TV. Baseball didn’t ultimately make him wealthy. The decisions he was making while playing did.

There’s a lesson in that.

Don’t just prepare for the opportunity. Prepare for what comes after it.
