Henry Turley Company is working with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) to reshape the Medical District—transforming a 10-acre site from a mix of obsolete institutional buildings and parking lots into a fully realized, urban, residential neighborhood. The project, which is getting underway in the spring of 2021, includes 12 three-story apartment buildings, street-level retail along Madison, and streetscape improvements that will create a walkable, bikeable, livable community. As part of Victorian Village, Orleans Station’s architecture is informed by the scale and feel of the existing neighborhood and UTHSC’s historic campus buildings. Henry Turley Company's work in the Medical District capitalizes on our greatest strengths: Forging connections and building community. Plans include improved transit, pedestrian, biking, and ride services. And, in addition to strengthening the university and connecting all the area’s medical institutions, Orleans Station is designed to complement, connect and contribute to the character of the adjacent neighborhoods—Victorian Village, the Madison Corridor, and newly revitalized the Edge District
