🏡🍽️ **Remember The Gas Light in Ridley Park? There's Some News!**
For those who remember The Gas Light Restaurant in Ridley Park, it looks like the old building is finally going to have a new life!
Local restaurateur Joe Magee, who owns Marty Magee's Irish Pub, the Tumble Inn, John Morton's, and Captain Ron's, is planning to open a new restaurant in the former Gas Light building at **100 E. Hinckley Avenue in Ridley Park.**
According to recent reports, plans include:
🍝 Italian-American food, including seafood and steaks.
🍕 Possibly a brick oven for pizzas and breads.
🔨 A complete interior renovation with exposed brick, wood, and metal accents.
🍽️ Seating for approximately 90–100 people.
The restaurant hasn't been named yet, and there's no confirmed opening date.
And just to clarify, **this isn't the reopening of the original Gas Light.** It's a new restaurant being planned for the same location, with hopes of bringing back some of the neighborhood gathering-place atmosphere people remember.
It's always nice to see an old Delco landmark getting another chance, especially when it brings new life and activity to a local business district. ❤️
**Who remembers eating at The Gas Light? We'd love to hear your memories!** And what would you like to see in the new restaurant?
