☀️ Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall Prep! 🍂
As the season starts to wind down, it’s the perfect time to give our homes a little TLC before the cooler weather arrives. Taking care of a few small tasks now can save a ton of time and money later!
Grab a cup of coffee and see how many of these you can check off over the next few weekends:
🏡 Outside Tasks
• Clean the gutters: Clear out summer leaves and debris to prevent drainage issues.
• Inspect the roof: Look for cracked shingles or winter-weary spots.
• Check seals: Inspect weatherstripping around windows and doors to keep drafts out.
• Store summer gear: Wash down patio furniture and tuck away the lawn mower.
• Drain outdoor faucets: Disconnect hoses so pipes don't freeze later on.
🛋️ Inside Tasks
• Service the HVAC: Swap out air filters and schedule a quick furnace tune-up.
• Test safety alarms: Change batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Deep clean vents: Vacuum out dryer vents and bathroom exhaust fans.
