New Jersey property taxes are among the highest in the country, but the ANCHOR program provides substantial financial relief for eligible residents—ranging from $450 to $1,500.

Here is a quick snapshot of what you need to know for 2026:

🏠 Homeowners:
• $1,500 for 2025 gross income of $150K or less
• $1,000 for 2025 gross income between $150,001 and $250K
(Must have owned & occupied as primary residence on Oct 1, 2025)

🔑 Renters:
• $450 (age 64 or younger)
• $700 (age 65 or older)
(2025 gross income of $150K or less)

🗓️ Important Dates:
• Payments start rolling out: September 15, 2026
• Application Deadline: November 2, 2026
