What’s happening with land and new construction around us this week?

In New Lenox Township, the Cosmos Solar proposal near Spencer and Delaney Roads reportedly received Will County Board approval on October 15 after a tie-breaking vote. An earlier committee vote had failed, which is why you may have seen conflicting headlines. There is no confirmed construction start date. Two other proposals had different outcomes: the Manhattan Township solar and battery requests were postponed, and an approval motion for a Green Garden Township project failed. In Burr Ridge, a developer is proposing 21 upscale homes, including lower-maintenance homes and estate-style properties. The plan is still under review, with a public hearing scheduled for October 19. These homes should not be treated as available inventory yet. (patch.com, noticeregistry.com)
