Our next cabin is taking shape in the woods, and we wanted you to see the progress.
These photos, taken November 2, offer a fresh look at Solitude, the second cabin we’re building on the 45-acre Hideaway property near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. The framing, exterior sheathing, and roof structure are taking shape.
—and inside, the large framed openings already give a sense of the woods beyond. We can't wait to see that huge window wall come together. Each 4x10' sheet of double glazed glass costs $2k but we just had to go the extra mile and include them.
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s exciting to watch this new retreat become real, especially with autumn putting on a show around it.
We’re hoping to welcome our first guests in April 2027. That’s a target, not a confirmed opening date; we’ll share firmer timing and booking details as the build progresses. Meanwhile, Our pup, Sydney, will keep an eye on things.
