Today we celebrate the technology that keeps us connected, keeps business moving, and lets us accomplish things with just a few clicks.

Of course, we also celebrate the universal workplace tradition of asking, “Is the internet down, or is it just me?”

From communication and collaboration to innovation and new opportunities, it’s hard to imagine the modern workplace without it.

Here’s to staying connected!

Halloween and candy go hand in hand! Did you know that U.S. consumers buy around 600 million pounds (over 270,000 tons) of Halloween candy each year? That's a lot of sweet treats!

The top 5 candies in the US are M&M's, Snickers, Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, and of course, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups—which is the most desired candy of all! What's your go-to Halloween candy?

We’re excited for you to meet Brandon King, our amazing Accounting Manager! Brandon joined LRRA in October of 2025 and has quickly become a valued part of our family. He’s happily married to Sara King, and together they have two wonderful daughters. Originally hailing from the Fort Worth / Dallas area, Brandon studied at Texas Tech University from 2001 to 2005 and has called Lubbock home since 2009. He earned his bachelor’s from Texas Tech and his master’s from the University of Texas at Dallas, and has been a dedicated CPA since 2010. Both of his daughters attend Frenship Schools— one shines as a dancer and the other shows her skills as a gymnast. Brandon is a proud Red Raider and a huge Texas Rangers fan! We’re so grateful to have him on our team!

As temperatures begin to drop, now is the perfect time to winterize your building and help prevent costly damage from frozen pipes.

âś… Keep the heat on, even when the building is unoccupied.
âś… Insulate exposed plumbing and pipes.
âś… During freezing temperatures, allow faucets to drip to help prevent pipes from freezing.
âś… Check all vulnerable areas before the first hard freeze.

If you need assistance or have a maintenance request, please visit our website and submit a service request. Our team is here to help keep your property safe and protected this winter.

A little preparation today can prevent major repairs tomorrow!

Today, we are honored to celebrate two remarkable leaders whose impact on West Texas will be felt for generations. Congratulations to John Tye, a former member of the LRRA Board since its earliest days and successful entrepreneur, and Marsha Sharp, legendary Texas Tech Basketball Coach, on being named the 2026 Heroes of West Texas by the Community Foundation of West Texas.

From John's unwavering commitment to Plainview and West Texas, to Marsha's extraordinary legacy of leadership, mentorship, and service, both have helped shape a stronger and more vibrant West Texas. Their influence extends far beyond their accomplishments, touching countless lives and inspiring future generations.

This recognition is truly well deserved, and we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their remarkable contributions to our community. Congratulations on this well-earned honor! Community Foundation of West Texas
