I don’t have a cat. I just apparently have visitation rights to one. 🐈😂

He comes by, I let him into the laundry room for a few pets, and Linda stands on the other side of the door having an absolute emotional crisis over the situation.

I’m just trying to be neighborly. Linda would like to file a formal complaint.

Future home buyers: when you’re choosing a neighborhood, nobody warns you to factor in the possibility of acquiring a part-time cat. 😂

What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve inherited from your neighborhood — a cat, a dog, a kid, or a neighbor who knows ALL the business? 😂

You know what’s disappointing?

When your cleaning lady can’t come and suddenly you’re forced to face the fact that your dogs are, apparently, 87% drool.

When AI puts you in an outfit and you’re like… absolutely not. Who is she? Because that is not me.

When you don’t win the lottery. Again. Which honestly feels a little personal at this point.

And then there’s house hunting.

Sometimes the house you love gets snatched up. Sometimes the numbers aren’t numbering yet. Sometimes you find out you’ve got a little work to do before you’re ready to buy.

It’s disappointing.

But unlike the lottery situation, this is something we can actually make a plan for.

Some people run errands alone. I apparently travel with a tiny passenger who expects refreshments. 😂🐶

Carlos knows if we’re anywhere near a drive-thru, there better be a pup cup involved. And judging by his face, this was clearly the most important appointment on today’s schedule.

Went to an estate sale to look at a table and chairs I absolutely did not need and were already sold

But the house? The mid-century vibes were on point. Avocado green EVERYTHING. 🥑

My favorite part of estate sales is seeing someone’s home and getting a little glimpse of who they were. This lady had style, and she definitely knew what she liked.

And honestly, that’s what I want for my first-time buyers too—a home that eventually feels so much like YOU that someone could walk in years later and know exactly who lived there. ❤️

I saw a comedian talking about how his mom sold a house and conveniently left one little detail off the Seller’s Disclosure…

The house was HAUNTED. 👻😂

And now I have questions.

If a seller genuinely believes their house is haunted, do you think that should be disclosed to the buyer?

Because we talk about roofs, foundations, plumbing and HVAC…but apparently we need to add ghosts to the inspection list. 😂

🎡 Tell me you’re from Lubbock without telling me you’re from Lubbock… I’ll go first: the South Plains Fair.

There’s just something about fair season in West Texas. The rides, the lights, the people watching, spending entirely too much money trying to win a stuffed animal you absolutely did not need… and, obviously, the FOOD. 😂

And this is one of those things I love about living in Lubbock. We’re big enough to have plenty going on, but things like the South Plains Fair still feel like a hometown tradition.

🏡 It’s the same thing I tell people who are thinking about making Lubbock home: you’re not just choosing a house — you’re choosing the community and the life that comes with it.
