We knock on a lot of doors. Here are five things we wish every customer knew before we show up:
1. The earlier we can park, the better. If you can save us a spot near the entrance - cones, a borrowed driveway, anything - your move starts faster and costs less time.
2. Doors and walkways matter. Clear a path from the door to the truck, inside and out. Wet leaves, icy steps, and a hallway full of boxes slow everyone down.
3. You don't need to be strong, just reachable. We'll ask questions all day. Keep your phone handy so we're not hunting for answers while the truck waits.
4. Label by room, not by item. "Kitchen" on a box gets it to the right place in one trip. An inventory list of everything inside slows the whole day down.
5. Tell us about the tricky stuff before we arrive. The spiral staircase, the sleeper sofa, the piano in the basement. We bring the right gear when we know - it's why we ask.
We show up with pads, shrink wrap, straps, and tools. You show up with the doors unlocked and a plan for the kids and pets. That's a good move day.
