I know that we saw the current rate increase to 7ish%% and your flabbers were gasted. I get it!! However, keep in mind that Buying Now is a still a strategic move🤝
The silver lining... NO Bidding Wars!! When rates were 3%, buyers had to waive inspections, offer $50k over asking price, and compete with 20 other offers just to get rejected. Today, you have leverage. You can take your time, negotiate price drops, and even ask for contingencies. 😲
📉 Marry the House, Date the Rate, ok, I hate that saying too.... But, its true. I've refinanced many times over my life. The price you pay for a house is permanent, but your interest rate is temporary.💰
📈 Building Long-Term Equity is always a good idea. So, even with higher mortgage rates, a portion of every single payment goes directly into principal and long-term equity.
