A real estate transaction is rarely just about buying or selling a piece of property. At its core, it’s about people, transitions, and the beautiful chapters of life wrapped up inside four walls. For both buyers and sellers, it can be a deeply emotional process, and this recent sale at 29 Winter Street brought back a flood of wonderful memories.

I’ve known the family (former neighbors) who owned this home my entire life. My daughters were fortunate to grow up knowing them as well. Working on this sale made me think back to decades of daily conversations, seeing them out walking their dogs over the years almost every single day, the excitement of Halloween visits, warm Christmas greetings, and the fun sledding events after a big storm while they cheered the kids on from their driveway. I remember the encouragement they gave as the girls learned to ride their bikes without training wheels, and the list goes on. It’s those little, everyday moments that quietly turn into the most precious memories over the years.

Real estate is a rewarding career, but days like today remind me why I truly do this. It’s about the people, the trust, and the lifelong relationships built along the way.
