Hoppe Development hosted its first food drive competition from October 1-23 to support the Food Bank of Lincoln!

Our departments went head-to-head, competing to see who could collect the most donations. The competition was fierce, with last-minute shopping trips and truckloads of donations rolling in during the final hours.

After a close race, the final rankings were:

1. Construction
2. Shared Services
3. Development
4. Compliance
5. Lincoln Properties

Together, our team collected enough food and cash donations to provide 2,300 meals to the community!

A special thanks to HNR Outdoor Designs, Meininger Fire Protection, Scheele-Kayton Construction, Horizon Bank-Member FDIC, Brester Construction, Inc., and Carey Jacobs at Associated Bank for their contributions.

Yesterday, we treated our subcontractors and Hoppe field team at Tallgrass Neighborhood to lunch from La Cabañita Taco Truck as a small token of our appreciation for their hard work.

We couldn’t bring this neighborhood to life without the incredible people working behind the scenes every day.

Yesterday, we celebrated the ribbon-cutting of Foxtail 26!

Located within the Foxtail Meadows Neighborhood, Foxtail 26 brings 26 new, high-quality rental homes to Southwest Lincoln. Six of these homes are dedicated to refugee families, with a 20-year affordability covenant helping preserve long-term housing affordability.

All 26 homes are thoughtfully integrated into the larger mixed-income Foxtail Meadows Neighborhood, where residents enjoy access to parks, playgrounds, and green space.

A special thank you to our project partners PrimeSites Real Estate, Hoppe Homes, Good Neighbor Community Center, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Pinnacle Bank, City of Lincoln Government, DeOld Andersen Architecture, and Clark & Enersen for helping bring this community to life.

Together, we are expanding access to quality, affordable housing.

Last week, Hoppe Development officially opened Stoddard Place!

A former elementary school in Beatrice, NE, turned into high-quality, affordable senior housing. This project created 25 apartment homes with a mix of affordable and market-rate residences.

Throughout the redevelopment, Hoppe preserved meaningful elements of the original school, including exposed brick interiors and a wall of classroom clocks.

Jake spoke about the growing need for affordable housing and the innovative approaches Hoppe Development is taking to help bridge the gap.

The conversation highlighted the importance of building affordable housing at scale, creating communities, preserving existing affordable housing, and developing solutions that respond to the unique needs of each neighborhood.
