With the holidays coming up, we’ve been thinking about everything we’re grateful for. 🍂

Every family who trusted us with one of the biggest decisions they’ll ever make. Every set of plans that started as a conversation and became someone’s home. Every one of you who’s followed along, shared a post, or sent a friend our way.

Building homes is what we do. Getting to do it for this community is what we’re thankful for.

What’s one thing you’re grateful for about your home this year? Tell us below. 👇

If you could design one room first, no budget limits, which would it be? 👇

🍳 Kitchen
🛏️ Primary suite
🌿 Outdoor living space
💻 Home office

Drop your pick in the comments — we’re curious what Lincoln is dreaming about this fall.

Building homes is our job. Building up our community is part of who we are. 🧡

We’re proud to partner with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, and I've Got a Name, right here in Nebraska — because everyone deserves a place to call home, not just the families we build for directly.

This is why we do it. 💛

Hearing these words from a family in their finished home never gets old. It’s the whole reason we focus on relationship over everything else.

Before a single shovel hits the ground, your home goes through our design and drafting team. 📐

They’re the ones translating “I want a kitchen that opens to the backyard” into an actual set of plans our team can build from. It’s detail-heavy, unglamorous work, and it’s the reason the finished home matches what you pictured, because the same people shaping the vision are building it.

Craftsmanship starts on paper.

Most people wait until spring to call a builder. That’s exactly why November is the smarter move.

🗓️ Design and permitting take months — starting now means breaking ground when the weather turns
📐 Our drafting team has more time to get your floor plan right before the spring rush
🏠 Lot selection is easier with less competition
✅ You walk into spring with a plan already in motion, not a blank page

The best time to start designing is before you think you’re ready.

Custom isn’t just a nicer finish. It’s a floor plan that fits how you actually live.

For this Firethorn family, that meant intentionally cozy spaces/ a kitchen built for hosting. Small decisions like that are the whole point of building custom instead of buying something close enough.
