HOA vendors, what should you do when a resident stops you on-site?
You're on site, the crew is working, and a resident walks up with thoughts. Maybe it's a question. Maybe it's a request to add, skip, or stop something right then and there.
Here's the move: be kind, but don't take new direction from the sidewalk. Residents deserve respect — but changes to scope, schedule, materials, or cost need to go through the Community Manager.
Keep it simple: "Thanks for letting me know. I want to make sure this gets handled the right way, so please send that to the community manager, and I'll let them know you stopped by."
