Not all the foam and sealant you see during a pre-drywall inspection is doing something different.
A lot of it has the same basic job: stopping unwanted air from moving through gaps in the home. Different products just work better in different spots, whether that’s around windows, framing, or other penetrations. The goal is to make the home tighter, more comfortable, and more energy efficient before everything gets covered up.
