Have you always dreamed of living ā€œtinyā€!? We sure do. Slowing down, being intentional with our time and money.

We knew that true freedom isnā€™t tied so tightly to ā€œstuffā€ and ā€œstatus.ā€

And along the way, we met a lot of other people who felt the same way!

So, when this sweet little vintage Home came to us in need of repairs, a new roof, new windows, and a whole lot of loveā€¦ it was just the right fit for offering a space that though itā€™s tiny, sits on a large tree-filled lot tucked away in a quiet neighborhood where deer play and eat the fallen apples in the yard.

Today is the last day for Home Tours, the application is completely free, in this home might be just the right spot for a fresh new season! Rental Homes & Apartments by Running Creek Properties in Lancaster Ohio

For the longest time, we thought vintage spaces were just for those who could "afford" it. Our first studio apartment as young adults starting out was cookie cutter and dated with cat poo on the wall. It was expensive with no sense of history or interior design. Also, the management changed often as did their policies. Yuck! šŸ˜«šŸ¤¢

We realized that vintage homes offered both affordability AND interior design that has stood the test of time!

Fast forward to several years ago when this studio apartment came to us. The previous owner asked for help because it had been trashed by less-than-stellar folks. The smell was epic, šŸ˜¬šŸ™„but we could see the potential. We thought, "How hard could a studio apartment be to renovate?"

Plot twist - This tiny space actually took us the longest of any renovation to date 18+ months. šŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗ

It challenged us in all good ways and taught us about renovating small spaces.

We learned thoughtful design is vital. ā˜‘ļø

We learned to always go with full sized cabinets. ā˜‘ļø

We decided that new flooring and cool tones give that tucked away, snuggle up with a fur-baby kind of vibe. ā˜‘ļøšŸ˜»šŸˆ

We knew that the plant hooks were key! šŸŒ±šŸƒā˜‘ļø

And the fireplace? Well, it's the most ornate we've ever seen and it required a lot of love and paint. šŸ«¶

We also added an extra storage room (exterior access) with more storage and a private washer/dryer hookup.

So if you're looking for a space with a sense of history, design that has stood the test of over 100+ years, and you're ready for a soft place to land....this might be your sign. Check the link in the comments to our small local website for our Free Home Tour application. Tours start this weekend!

We ā¤ļø our city. We think that itā€™s worth the effort!

Itā€™s worth the collapses sewer line - last week!

Itā€™s worth the constant keeping up with repairs.

Itā€™s worth the property taxes šŸ˜© ok wait - no we pay far too much compared to the massive tax breaks of the out of town corporations building lux apartment complexes. But we digressā€¦šŸ™„

The vintage homes are worth restoring.

The people are hard working and worth coming along side to help them reach their financial and housing goals.

We understand anything worthy will be extremely difficult. We will be honest - itā€™s challenging every single day.

We ā¤ļø our city. We KNOW that itā€™s worth the effort.

See this Fireplace? Notice the intricate detail? Thatā€™s brick, which is not easy to design or create. 150 years ago an artist created.

A human being thought of this design and made it.

There werenā€™t power tools like we know today.

There was no AI to design it.

Just human creativity.

Thatā€™s what makes vintage homes so incredibly intriguing.

Itā€™s the sense of history, the story behind the design.

Itā€™s about a continuance of that story and creating another chapter.

If youā€™re ready for a fresh start and a soft place to land, this sweet studio has the most intricate Fireplace to welcome you home.

All the details are on our small local website and we are easy to find.

PS, be very cautious, there are scams out there, pretending to be us, but they are charging application fees or upfront last months rent. We never never never never never ever wonā€™t ever charge those fees or last month rent. Text our office 740-277-1619. Itā€™s only Joy or Mary. There is no one else as we are a small office!
