I was working 12- 16 hours a day every single day as a teenager and most of my 20’s. I was doing move jobs while working at UPS. Once my daughter was born, I made the decision to go on my own for good. It was a very scary choice to go with because all I had under my belt was a GED, and knowing how to pick things up and put them back down. 😂😂😂😂. However, I was certain that the only way to grow was to invest in what you believe in most. Started with a small retired Penskee box truck, then a 6x12 trailer that I pulled with the yellow box truck. Moved on to buying used 26’ box trucks, and eventually buying brand new 26’ box trucks. Through all that we were able to develop a team that I could trust and depend on and a sister who runs the show behind the scenes. Without my sister Alex, I would’ve been lost and probably out of business. She has much more patience than I do when it comes to unpleasant customers. 😂.
Nothing is guaranteed so I still work hard everyday so that I can provide for the people I love and care about. Not to mention our crew whose families depend on them to come back safe and being able to provide for. It’s much bigger than just me. I learned that a long time ago. 💪 ❤️ 🙋🏻♂️
