Hard to believe, but 70% (!!) of our spring and summer 2027 weeks at Slaycation are already booked!

We have just 8 weeks still available between March 21 and September 19! If your family group chat hasn’t settled on next year’s beach week, this might help narrow it down.

From the bottom of our hearts, truly THANK YOU to everyone who has already made Slaycation part of their 2027 plans. Whether you’re a Slaycation regular or a first time guest we can't wait to welcome you home!

Something new is coming to Slaycation! We’ve blocked off all of November for a major renovation This isn’t just a fresh coat of paint, we’re gutting one room and making it completely new! We can’t wait to show you the finished result in December.

Meet the newest member of the Slaycation family… PEPPER THE PUG! She joined us at the beach house today, so it felt like the perfect time for a proper introduction!

We’re looking forward to many more beach trips and family memories with this sweet little girl—and a slightly unreasonable number of photos along the way. Consider this your warning: Pepper (along with Patrick the Pug) will be making regular appearances around here!

Help us give Pepper a warm welcome!

LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing the OBX community come together for this Roanoke couple during last week's nor'easter. Huge shoutout to Frisco Woods Campground and every local who pitched in. This welcoming, caring spirit is exactly why we fell in love with the Outer Banks so many years ago.

Noooo! Definitely not what you want to see. Avon Fishing Pier NC has suffered significant damage from the nor’easter. They report the seas are still too rough to fully inspect the damage and understand what next steps may be.

A LIVE look from SlaycationCam.com as we approach high tide in Kitty Hawk. So far, no overwash reported here.

Day two of this wicked Nor’Easter and WOW the seas are angry! All is looking good at Slaycation though. Our stretch of beach has yet to undergo beach renourishment but so far reports are that the dunes are holding strong and no overwash has been reported along our stretch of shoreline. 💪 🤞

When we were decorating Slaycation, it was really important to us to seek out small businesses, local craftsmen, and unique pieces that gave the home a little personality!

These are two of our favorites! Both were handcrafted by Fishman Carvings, and we love how much character they bring to the house. Colorful, coastal, a little quirky, and exactly the kind of thing we hoped to find when we started putting Slaycation together.

We love seeing Fishman Carvings pop up at coastal shops and festivals, and we’re already keeping our eyes open for the next piece that belongs here!
