You donāt need to have anything figured out yet.
Right now, your only job is to start paying attention.
Wander through an open house on a Saturday just to see whatās out there. Drive through a neighborhood youāre curious about at 6pm on a weeknight, when youād be coming home from work. Peek at what homes near you list for, then check back to see what they sold for. Thereās usually a gap, and that gap tells you a lot.
Somewhere in there, talk to an agent. Not because youāre ready, but because a 20-minute conversation now beats a scramble later. And if youād be selling your current home first, thatās the conversation where the two pieces start to fit together.
The buyers who feel most confident in the spring are usually the ones who started paying attention in the fall.
So if buying a home keeps coming up at your dinner table, come talk to me before it needs to be a plan.
