Thinking about listing your Kerrville home before the new year? Selling during the holidays looks a little different, and I think it gets underrated.
Buyers who are shopping in November and December usually have a reason to be out looking: a new job, a relocation, a year-end timeline. That kind of focus can make for a smoother transaction.
Pricing still matters from day one. Statewide, homes that sold in July 2026 spent an average of 63 days on the market, and inventory sat at 5.5 months of supply (Texas Real Estate Research Center, September 2026 report). Buyers have options, so a well-prepared, well-priced home stands out.
A few things I recommend this time of year:
Keep decorations simple and let the house do the talking
Open the blinds and turn on the lights for showings, since days are shorter
Take listing photos before or after the heavy decorating
If you'd like a no-pressure market analysis of your home, I'd be glad to put one together.
