THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Before rewards apps, digital coupons, and loyalty points, there were S&H Green Stamps! If you grew up in the 1950s to ’70s and shopped for groceries, 🛒 clothing, gas... you received stamps! Families saved booklets and browsed catalogs, dreaming about what all those stamps could bring home. What did your family save for--lamps, dishes, bicycles, furniture...? Did you sit at the table, licking or gluing stamps into those booklets? Did you visit the S&H Green Stamps redemption store in Keene?

Throwback Thursday!

We’re so appreciative to have Pumpkin Fest back in downtown Keene, celebrating the season with pumpkins, community spirit, and plenty of fall fun! 🍂🧡

And looking back at this gem from 2014… 😳😂 Let’s just say there were a few bad seeds in the patch! 🎃💀 Who remembers this one, which reached Cape Cod? 👇

Thank goodness THAT won’t happen again! 😉🤣

Did you ever appear on the Uncle Gus show?

One of the most well-known and beloved programs on Channel 9 was "Uncle Gus." From the late 50s and into the early 80s, Gus Bernier entertained local children in a daily, half-hour-long program with games and interviews. Granite State Girl Scout troops, Little League teams, Boy Scouts, and schoolchildren made appearances on the show as a part of the live audience—WMUR-TV.

Citing rising costs to operate with sinking revenue, WMUR TV decided to end the show.

Gus Bernier retired in 1980 and moved to Hawaii, where he passed away on March 19, 2005, at the age of 85.
