Some projects mean a little more.

929 Walnut has been years in the making, and seeing this building filled with people again is exactly what we envisioned when we first saw its potential.

From preserving its history to reimagining its future, we've had the opportunity to bring 929 to life as architect, developer and owner. Every decision was made with the same goal in mind: create something that honors the building's past while giving it a place in Kansas City's future.

To our team, partners and everyone who helped make this vision a reality, thank you. We're proud of what we've created and even more excited to see this next chapter of 929 unfold.

From what it was to what it’s become.

Originally built in 1922, 929 Walnut has been reimagined as 929 Residences, bringing new life to a historic piece of downtown Kansas City.

As architect, developer and owner, we’ve had the opportunity to see this transformation through from the very beginning. Preserving the character that makes this building special while creating something entirely new for the next chapter of its history.

What a night celebrating 929 Residences!

It was great to see so many people come out to celebrate the grand opening of this historic Kansas City building and the next chapter in its story.

From celebrating its history to seeing the space come to life, the night was a reminder of why projects like this mean so much to us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a memorable one. We're proud to be part of this building's story and excited for what's ahead.

A full-circle moment at 929 Walnut.

Last week, we officially opened the doors to 929 Residences and celebrated a project that has been ours from every angle: architect, developer and owner.

Originally built in 1922 for the Kansas City Title & Trust Company, this downtown building had spent years largely vacant. We saw an opportunity to preserve what made it worth keeping while giving it a completely new purpose.

Today, 929 is home to 44 residences, The Vault resident amenity space, a rooftop overlooking downtown and Remedy Cafe & Bar at street level. From restoring original details to reimagining how the building could serve downtown today, every part of 929 reflects what we love about adaptive reuse.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, and to every partner who helped bring 929 to life.

929 Walnut is almost ready for its next chapter.

We’ve shared a lot of this building’s story along the way, from its early 1900s roots to the work of bringing it back to life. Now, the finishing details are coming together and we’re giving you a first look inside.

Here’s a little sneak peek at how the old and new are coming together.

More of 929 coming soon.

Come take a walk through 929 Walnut.

Built in 1922, 929 began its story as a place rooted in title, trust and Kansas City commerce. More than a century later, the building is stepping into a new chapter as a residential community with its original character still very much part of the story.

From historic architectural details to spaces reimagined for modern living, every part of 929 reflects a balance between what was worth preserving and what could become something new.

A closer look inside 929, where the past is preserved, the future is imagined, and a little trust in the process goes a long way.

There’s something different about celebrating a project you’ve worked on for years with the people who helped make it happen.

This week, we celebrated the grand opening of the Aiden Hotel and the next chapter of Kansas City’s historic 1919 Mutual Building.

Bringing it to life took vision, thoughtful design, creative problem-solving and the right partners at the table. We’re proud to have worked alongside Oak KC LLC and the Meiners family, Neighbor Construction, Level Builders, KCATA and Aiden by Best Western/BWH Hotels to make it possible.

For our team, this is what it's all about, honoring what makes a building worth keeping while finding a viable path for what comes next.

Tuesday night was a celebration of the building, the work and the people behind it and a project we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

At Exact, we believe great development starts with strong partnerships, thoughtful planning and a clear understanding of where communities are headed next.

If you’re at the conference, be sure to stop and say hello. We’d love to connect!

A century of history on the outside. A completely new chapter taking shape inside.

Built in 1922 as the Kansas City Title and Trust Building, 929 Walnut has stood at 10th and Walnut for more than 100 years. Today, we are giving it a new purpose through adaptive reuse, transforming the former downtown office building into loft residences and commercial space while preserving the character that makes it worth saving.

And the exterior is only part of the story.

Stay tuned as we take you inside 929 and share more of the spaces, details and design decisions behind the transformation.
