You wouldn’t know the story behind this home just by looking at this photo.
You would simply see that Rank & Roberts sold another house in Wyandotte County. And we did. But every home has a story behind it, and sometimes those stories deserve to be shared.
Our seller came to us through a referral from a family member who had gotten to know her through a local store just up the street. We heard she might be considering a move, so we made arrangements to meet and talk through her options.
That first conversation happened back in March. We discussed the market, created a plan and started getting the ball rolling. Then we hit a small snag that pushed our timeline back a few months. Nothing terrible, just one of those unexpected things that happens in real estate. Thankfully, after years of working in Wyandotte County, I have a person for just about everything, and we were able to get things moving again.
Then came the search for her next home. We toured quite a few, wrote a few offers and eventually found the one that checked all the boxes. After a little negotiating, she was under contract.
This is also where relationships matter. Knowing and working well with other agents can make such a difference in keeping a transaction moving smoothly. In a small world moment, the agent on the other side had also helped with the purchase of my current home.
Today, we closed on the house our seller called home for many, many years. I am incredibly grateful to the friend who trusted Rank & Roberts enough to send her our way.
What started as a referral turned into a relationship, and I can honestly say I gained a lifelong friend through this one.
We are so excited for her next chapter, and the new buyers truly got a gem of a home. Congratulations to everyone involved. This one means a little extra. 💛🏡
