How’s the market is one of the most common questions people seem to ask realtors. There really isn't an all emcompassing answer to that one. It depends on the neighborhood and the property.
A recently published third-quarter report shows South Kohala sales above $3 million increased from 33 to 40 during the first nine months of 2026 compared with last year. Within Mauna Kea Resort, total transactions lessened from 25 to 22. Buyers are still purchasing, with activity varying across price ranges and communities.
For anyone considering a move, a great question is: What’s happening with properties most comparable to yours (or in the areas and price ranges you are seeking)? Recent sales, competing listings, condition and location help clarify a more focused answer.
