A clean home can make a much bigger difference than people think when it’s time to sell.

Before buyers ever start thinking about an offer, they’re noticing how the space feels. Is it open? Is it bright? Does it feel cared for? Can they actually picture themselves living there?

That’s why two of the simplest things you can do before listing are also two of the most important: declutter and deep clean.

You don’t need to empty the house or make it feel sterile. The goal is to create enough breathing room that buyers can focus on the home itself instead of your belongings.

A few small changes can help:

Remove extra furniture that makes rooms feel tight
Clear off counters and surfaces
Pack away personal items and excess decor
Deep clean kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows, and baseboards
Make sure closets and storage spaces don’t feel overstuffed

And before you start spending money on bigger projects, let’s talk. Sometimes presentation and preparation can do more for a home than an expensive update.
